  1. I am glad to hear that dyslexia testing is in at least planning stages. I have personally heard from several concerned parents who have been looking for dyslexia help in Mississippi. My search for information about dyslexia help in Mississippi has shown that the reality is that there are at present only pilot programs available at this time. The public schools seem not to be aware of all that is available at the state level.

I have a web site at http://www.dyslexiaglasses.com for information about visual dyslexia with my contact information. I am often asked by parents where they can go for help.

I have seen other states try to have dyslexia testing implemented without much luck. Presently the Nemours Children Hospital in Jacksonville Florida has what is perhaps the best dyslexia risk identification program in the country. They are a non profit organization that is building a dyslexia testing and intervention program along with training the people needed. You might try to contact them for their thoughts on the subject.
